Happy 4 Months Reagan!!!
My Sweet Baby Girl,
I cant believe how fast time is flying by. I cant believe you are 4 months old today. You have grown so much, well not weight wise ;)
It seems like just yesterday you were sleeping in your bassinet for the first time at home. Our first night home with you was pretty stressful. Whenever you would wake up and cry, your brother would also wake up and want to play. So Mommy and Daddy got no sleep.
You have learned so many things within these few months, and continue to learn everyday. Your smile melts my heart and i love hearing you laugh all the time, that is the sweetest sound.
You are my Princess and will always be daddys little girl. Your brother will love you with all his heart. He may like to pull you around right now but that is his way of showing his love to you! hehehe
Birth : 6lbs 11oz Peanut
Now : 11lbs 23.5 inches

Ear Infections & Tubes...
Well im pretty sure dj is going to get tubes in his ears. We had a check up appt for his ear infection today and now both ears are infected. 2 weeks ago it was only his left ear. he has been on two antibiotics and is now going to start his 3rd, just for this ear infection.
also the ped thinks its his ears that are making it harder for him to talk. she said that he could not be hearing all of the sound. He says some words: mama, dada, ball, sissy, deer, and a few others but they are really hard to understand.
he might have to do a few speech therapy appts.
If he still has the infection by his next check up on 12/18 then the tubes are a must...
anyone familiar with this field?!? im completly lost in this subject. Im gonna start Googling...

Dear Yes on 8 Supporters...
A friend of mine wrote this and i thought i should share with everyone.
Dear Yes on 8 supporter,
Hey there. I'm going to go out on a limb here that most of you are feeling pretty proud of yourselves right now, patting each other on the back for your near victory of 3%. It must feel good to win huh? God knows I would be proud too if I woke up to find that my vote had such an impact on thousands upon thousands of people. I must say, I'd be pretty elated over the defeat of the US's strides for separation of church and state, the victory over the very things our fore fathers fought and died for –the things our country was founded on, Yes, I have to say, I'd be pretty enthralled with myself for the devastation of an enormous group of people, but I'm not.
I'm not because I voted no to legal discrimination; no to the idea that a religiously founded belief and opinion should have any say in the legal constitution which rules over other people who may not have the same beliefs. I voted no because I felt there was a greater need for human equality and compassion than the whims of an organized religion that practices intolerance and promotes the sub-human treatment of a group of people. I voted no because I could not bring myself to believe in the hypocrisy of a love that would deny people fundamental rights supposedly granted to everyone.
But I suppose that doesn't matter to you, does it? I bet it never did.
Well I hope you're happy with yourselves now. I hope you can look into the mirror and say how happy you are to emotionally devastate hundreds of thousands of people and their loved ones. I hope you can look in the mirror and say how proud you are to treat another group of people with substandard subhuman notions for reasons they cannot change. And I HOPE you can look at yourself and feel just FINE with the fact that your vote has such emotionally scarring ramifications that people (your neighbors, your coworkers, you family members and possibly friends) might kill themselves because of it. That they would rather take their own life then live in a world YOU chose for them.
I hope you can think about that and smile without flinching.
Take pride in being a bigot, because you are. Disagree? The definition of a bigot is a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion. Utterly intolerant, as in, so intolerant that you cannot stand to allow a marriage between two people who you don't deem acceptable for your definition of marriage. Can't argue that, can you?
And maybe you don't understand the weight of what you've done because you were taught to believe that being different is NOT ok. Or maybe because you never had to fight for the same rights as your neighbor, your fellow US citizen.. your fellow human being.
But that's no excuse.
What you have done was hurtful and inexcusable. It was a choice based on unjust fear and selfishness. Fear of what you don't understand and cannot relate to. Selfishness of worrying over what this means for you, what this might do to YOU or your soul instead of what this means for your fellow man and woman.
And don't pretend this was for the children because 300 pediatricians told you otherwise. Because of your vote, children who are already being raised by gay parents now have their chance for an economically stable environment ruined. Children who had the chance to be adopted by gay married parents, who OBIVOUSLY wanted them more than their heterosexual birth parents, will now suffer as well.
And as for YOUR children…gay marriage was never going to be taught in schools and you knew it. The California super attendant for schools and the Teachers Associations told you so. This was never about church rights, everyone told you otherwise. In fact, just about every large newspaper, major company head, California leader and our current US President told you it was WRONG and you voted for it anyway.
This was never about anyone but you and your fear.
Fear so strong that you would be willing to deny people the right to be above subhuman just to keep yourself "safe". I have never seen a bigger hypocritical unprecedented discriminatory injustice short of the Rwanda genocide and the Hate crime killings in my time.
And don't try and console me with domestic partnership because it is NOT the same a marriage. You only have 30 rights in a domestic partnership vs the 177 in marriage. Would YOU want to give up your other 147 rights because another religion said they didn't agree with your marriage? Would YOU want a domestic partnership instead of a marriage if you knew that the domestic partnership could be dissolved if you ever decided to live under a different roof as your partner for whatever reason (work related or not)?
Would you want to have to wait 7 years in some cases before you're even granted these simple 30 rights?
I'm going to take a stab at this and say you wouldn't. So if you wouldn't revoke your marriage for a domestic partnership (or take a domestic partnership instead of a marriage) then why would you demand that of anyone else? You should never ask someone to do something you, yourself, are not willing to do.
That's equality. Justice, liberty and freedom for ALL.
How dare you spit in the face of that because of something you feel is a sin.
You want to know what REAL sin is? REAL sin is taking away someone's free agency – their right to choose.
If you take away someone's right to choose to keep or not keep their posessions (theft) that's a sin. If you take away someone's choice to fornicate with you or not (rape) that's a sin.
If you take away someone's right to choose life or death (murder) that's a sin.And if you take away someone's right to marry for no other good reason than you're afraid, that's a sin.
If the churches don't want to sanctify the marriages, that's their religious freedom. If GOD doesn't want to sanctify the marriages, then he/she won't. But it's NOT your RIGHT to take away MY rights as a human being because you don't agree with my life style which ISN'T hurting anyone else.
I have every right to marry who I love within reasonable standards. I have every right be as legally and financially safe as anyone else. I have the right to every one of those marriage privileges as anyone else and it's being taken away from me. Not because I committed a crime. Not because I gave up my own free agency.
But because of my sexuality, because of something so fundamentally apart of myself that I cannot change it no matter what you say or do. No amount of therapy will change that.
This is human cruelty. This is what the bible was really preaching against.
And I love my spouse just as much as the next man does, or should, and I'm proud to call her my wife. I want to tell everyone I'm happily married and I fought hard to be with her. I want the right to say I'm married, to go to the hospital and check the married section instead of having to check the single. To check married on my taxes instead of having to file single. To not HAVE to explain to my employer or anyone else how I can be married but still have to legally claim single.
I want my future children to be safe if something should happen to either of us. I wan my possessions, my property, my belongings to be passed on to my spouse, my wife. Yes, I even want my insurance to carry.
And when the time comes for it, I want to be laid down next to the one I loved when I am buried.
How could that possibly hurt you?
Sincerely,
Mrs. Raven Winter

Can I Vote On YOUR Marriage, Too?
It would be something, wouldn't it, if we could vote on everyone's marriage, right? I mean, could you imagine if you and your intended decide that you want to get married, and then someone says to you, wait, we need to vote on this. We're not sure if you're quite what we think the standard of marriage should be. Or even better, you're already married, and there are people who say, wait, hold up. You might be married NOW, legally, but you know what? I don't think I quite approve of that. So much so, we're now going to do everything we can do to make your marriage null and void. Because I don't approve.
Pretend, for a minute, that we live in a world where this is possible. Oh wait, we already do. But bear with me... Where your right to the privlege of marriage is totally in the hands of people who not only think that your entire way of life is wrong, but also a sin according to their belief system. How rude, right? What gives these people the right to infringe on yours? How is your marriage going to effect these people? Threaten their way of life? Infringe on their rights? How does your wanting to marry the person you choose make their marriage any less valid?
Think about this, really think about it. Right now, does your marriage in any way impact anyone else's rights, beliefs, family? Does it somehow make anyone else's marriage any less valid? If so, how? If not, then how do you explain why there is an entire group of people who are denied that same privilege that another group takes for granted? Why is that anyone's business?
If we are going to deny the same basic right to the privilege of marriage because of something like sexual orientation, then we should take that privilege away from everyone. The same standards for everyone. If we are truly going to take marriage from one group of AMERICANS, then we should take it off the table for everyone. This isn't about sin. It isn't about religion. This isn't about who is right, and who is wrong. This is about our civil rights, all of ours, no matter what color, creed, heritage, religion, sexual orientation, or political position we adhere to.
If Prop 8 passes, this is the stepping stone, the opening of the governments equivalent of Pandora's Box, into our lives. What rights will be put to the vote next? What standard will be tested, what lengths will we have to go to, to do something that we take for granted right now? Where will this lead? Because I believe that the passing of Prop 8 will only be used as a spring board for later infringements into our basic civil rights. Maybe color me a little paranoid, but if you think about it, it's really not that far off the mark.
Think about it. Prop 8 passes today, what right will we then have to fight for tomorrow?
Prop 8 is not going to go away if it passes. The fight will carry on. If it were you, and your marriage and family on the line, would you do no less?

Here are MY views!!!
Well we all know that yesterday was one of the biggest days in history. An african american was announced The President Of The United States. America has come so far.. On the other hand I hope that people just didnt vote for Obama just because we were going to make history. I hope it was for all of his policies and promises.
I personally, Voted for John McCain. I believe he could have been a great president along with Sarah Palin.
I voted for him because of the following:
1. Off Shore Drilling.
2. Social Policy.
3. Gun Control.
4. Abortion.
5. Sex Education & Birth Control.
I can go on and on about this but it will take me forever and this blog will be pages long :)

PROPOSITION 8
I voted NO on Prop 8. I believe that a marriage is between two people in LOVE. I dont think it is fair that people/the gov't can/should tell you who you can and cannot marry. Proposition 8 eliminated fundamental rights for a group of Californians. It’s unfair and it’s wrong.
Here are some FACT VS. FICTION:
Fiction: Prop 8 doesn’t discriminate against gay people.
Fact: Prop 8 is simple: it eliminates the rights for same-sex couples to marry. Prop 8 would deny equal protections and write discrimination against one group of people—lesbian and gay people—into our state constitution.
Fiction: Teaching children about same-sex marriage will happen here unless we pass Prop 8.
Fact: Not one word in Prop 8 mentions education. And no child can be forced, against the will of their parents, to be taught anything about health and family issues at school. California law prohibits it.California’s top educators including Superintendent of Schools Jack O’Connell and California Teachers all agree: Prop 8 has nothing to do with education.
Fiction: Churches could lose their tax-exemption status.
Fact: The court decision regarding marriage specifically says “no religion will be required to change its religious policies or practices with regard to same-sex couples, and no religious officiant will be required to solemnize a marriage in contravention of his or her religious beliefs.”
Fiction: A Massachusetts case about a parent’s objection to the school curriculum will happen here.
Fact: California gives parents an absolute right to remove their kids and opt-out of teaching on health and family instruction they don’t agree with. The opponents know that California law already covers this and Prop 8 won’t affect it, so they bring up an irrelevant case in Massachusetts.
Fiction: Four Activist Judges in San Francisco…
Fact: Prop 8 is about eliminating a fundamental right. Judges didn’t grant the right, the constitution guarantees the right. Proponents of Prop 8 use an outdated and stale argument that judges aren’t supposed to protect rights and freedoms. Prop 8 is about whether Californians are willing to amend the constitution for the sole purpose of eliminating a fundamental right for one group of citizens.
Fiction: If Prop 8 isn’t passed, people can be sued over personal beliefs..
Fact: California’s laws already prohibit discrimination against anyone based on race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. This has nothing to do with marriage.
Fiction: Pepperdine University supports the Yes on 8 campaign.
Fact: The University has publicly disassociated itself from Professor Richard Peterson of Pepperdine University, who is featured in the ad, and has asked to not be identified in the Yes on 8 advertisements.
Fiction: Unless Prop 8 passes, California parents won’t have the right to object to what their children are taught in school.
Fact: California law clearly gives parents and guardians broad authority to remove their children from any health instruction if it conflicts with their religious beliefs or moral convictions.
So there you have it. I still cant believe that just because they are NOT LIKE YOU or dont have YOUR SAME BELIEFS that you should descriminate.
Question for all of you...
WHAT IF YOUR CHILD CAME UP TO YOU AND SAID THAT HE/SHE WANTED TO MARRY THERE SAME SEX PARTNER. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
