20 weeks... The 1/2 way mark!!!
How far along: 20 weeks!!! The half way point!!!
Total weight gain/loss: -17 (slowly gaining back the 20lbs I lost in the 1st trimester
Size of the baby: A Cantaloupe 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.) He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
Sex: .... Secret!
Maternity clothes: Yes! And they are so comfy!
Sleep: Barely.. Peanut likes to kick and move around when I'm laying down. Plus I'm up 3+x a night using the bathroom.

Morning sickness: just waves of it.. Thank god the everyday all day is gone!
Symptoms: Ive been pretty tired lately and my lower back and hips have been aching for about a week or two.

19 Weeks...
How far along: 19 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Still -20lbs. Lost a lot in the first trimester.
Size of the baby: An Heirloom Tomato. Weighs about 8 1/2 oz and is a little over 6 inches long. Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
Sex: Its a.... Secret!

My friend April is now calling him/her "Shim" LOL Because we have no idea what this little bundle of joy is.
Peanut is measuring 18w4d, so just a few days ahead. Dr is not worried, but if peanut keeps getting ahead he might get concerned. He doesnt want me going past my due date because of my delivery with DJ.
But anyways, Here is "Peanut/Shim" and I have my next appt on 9/7 and another u/s! So its a nice birthday surprise!

18 Weeks...
How far along: 18 weeks
Total weight gain: -20lbs
Size of the baby: A Bell Pepper 7oz & 5 1/2 inches. Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. Peanut's busy flexing his/her arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his/her thin skin, and his/her ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his/her head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his/her nerves, a process that will continue for a year after Peanut's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
Sex: Praying for a Boy, But as long as Peanut is healthy that's all that matters! Hopefully I can find out tomorrow (8/9) at my appt!
Maternity clothes: Yes! I am loving my maternity shorts and tops! They are so comfy and I don't have to wear pj pants all the time.
Sleep: I have been tossing and turning for the past few nights. Its hard for me to get comfortable because once I do, I have to get up to go to the bathroom. Ugh!
Movement: I started to feel movement a few weeks ago and then it stopped, But I'm slowly starting to feel little flutters again. Cant wait to see peanut tomorrow (8/9) too!!!
Food cravings: I'm craving a lot of fruit, veggies and anything sweet or citrus-like. I have been drinking OJ like its going out of style.. lol Dave has had to go to the store to get me more frozen OJ 2x this week already. =)
Food aversions: Last week I was feeling crappy and nothing sounded or looked good. The smell of Chinese food was really getting to me also.
Morning sickness: Still getting little waves of nausea but nothing like the beginning. Finally starting to feel a little normal.
Symptoms: I have been pretty tired and very irritable lately. Whenever the kids lay down for their naps, I will cuddle up next to them and take a nice nap!
Labor signs: Too soon.
Belly button in or out: In
What I miss: I miss being able to sleep through the night without having to go to the bathroom and eating/drinking whatever I want!

Family Reunion in Tahoe =)
Yesterday we drove up to So. Lake Tahoe for my MIL's Family Reunion. They had it at Pope Beach. About 1/2 the way up there we started to get all too familiar sounds from DJ... *Gagging* "Mommy, need bowl" Poor little guy was getting car sick. So we pulled over and let him get some fresh air while I cleaned out his sippy and put fresh apple juice in it. About 10 miles down the windy road we hear "mommy, gotta pee" So we pull over and DJ gets shy and is trying to pee on the side of the road:
He cant go.. So we just decide to put a pull up on him since we are about 20 minutes away from our destination at Pope Beach. We finally get there and are greeted by the in laws. We get all of out beach stuff and head over. The kids were so excited to get their swim suits on and go play!
First off, DJ had to play baseball with daddy and papa George =)
Reagan went straight for the pail and shovel. She loves playing in the sand.
Wanting some juice..
Wanting some juice..
We were greeted by some birds and DJ wanted to hit them with a bat.. They then started running after them...
DJ playing with a little girl and telling her what a "Tractor" does and how to use it.. lol
Kids playing in the sand =) They were having so much fun!
Me and peanut... 17 weeks (measuring a little ahead though)
He did not want to get rid of that tractor, he loves tractors.
George and Dorothy.. *papa George & Nana Rae*
Reagan wanted nothing to do with the water, She was more content playing in the sand and having people make her sand castles so she could stomp on them.. lol
Me and peanut, DJ and Nana Rae playing in the water! He would go out to about his armpits and then starts heading back.
He was shivering so bad but did NOT want to get out of the water.
Mad because we finally got him out of the water...
As for Dave and I, we both got pretty burnt.. But we all had a blast and DJ keeps asking to go back to the beach and play in the water =)
