25 weeks.....
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.
How far along: 25 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: starting to gain some of the 30lbs that I lost in the beginning of the pregnancy.
Size of the baby: 13.5in & 1.9lbs. The size of a Rutabaga.
Sex: All Boy!
Maternity clothes: Of course!
Sleep: Yes Please!!!
Movement: All the time! But he hadn't moved in almost 24hrs so I had to go get monitored. Right when the nurse put the monitor on my stomach, he kicked it.. Little terd!
Food cravings: Nothing serious... I had sushi the other night and it was pretty amazing!
Food aversions: None right now...
Morning sickness: Nope, thank goodness!
Symptoms: My back, hips and feet are killing me.. But other than that I am doing pretty well.
Labor signs: I get a lot of BH, but nothing too serious..
Belly button in or out: In
What I miss: Nothing really...
What I'm looking forward to: My next appt on the 4th and my Baby Shower on the 9th!
Milestones: Making it past the 1/2 way mark, Finding out we are having a boy, Great dr. appts, Loving support from friends and family!

Poor Reagan....
Reagan is doing much better and we are finally home. I still haven't slept since 7am yesterday morning. I couldnt sleep with everything going on with reagan. Yesterday afternoon she started to get a little lethargic and just not acting like herself. I layed her down for her nap and just kept an eye on her. When she woke up she was very crabby/needy and just wasnt acting normal. We left to go pick dave up from work and she started puking in the car. I almost puked with her *gag* and this went on for another hour. When we got home she puked a few more times and I made the decision to take her back to the er.
We got to the er and she puked there 2x while we were in triage. They got her a bed and was going to start an iv with fluids and get blood from her. They wrapped her like a burrito with a blanket and kept one arm out. When the dr poked her with the needle, she barely flinched. Right then and there we knew something was not right with her. Even I flinch and cringe when I get blood taken or an iv in. We got 2 bags of fluid in and they gave her another CT Scan to make sure there were no brain bleeds. After the ct we were told we were going to be transfered to MSJ by ambulance because Mercy Folsom doesnt have a Pediatric Floor. So at 3:15am we were off in the ambulance.
We got to MSJ around 3:30am and got her in her room and hooked up to another fluid bag. The crib/animal cage that i was suppose to get her to sleep in, she was NOT having it. Finally after sitting in the chair for a good hour, she fell asleep and I got her into the crib. About 20 minutes later the dr came in and asked me a shitload of questions and what our plan of care would be. Reagan woke up and we tried giving her fluids but no such luck. The offered her 3 different types of popsicles and finally she started to eat a few bites of her popsicle. She had a total of 3 bags before wegot a wet diaper but all that matters is that we got a wet diaper!!! Things started to get better from there...
My IL's came up to the hospital along with my friend amanda and shannon. We took her to the little play room and she played for a little bit and then around 11 she crashed. She was so tired. The dr saw her playing and walking around and was very impressed with her. Around 2:30 the dr came in and told me that when she wakes up, she will evaluate her again and if she is doing good they will let us go. Reagan woke up about 3 and dr saw her and told us that she was starting to get the discharge papers in order. At 3:45 we were walking out the door of the hospital... We were FREE!!!!!
The dr said that this could have been a side effect of the concussion, a flu bug that she caught or she might have ate something that her tummy didnt agree with. But if she starts acting different and vomiting again, then we have to get an mri done. Im pretty sure I missed some parts but I havent slept since 7am yesterday morning... Im super tired and cant wait till bed time!
Thank you all for yout thoughts and prayers for Reagan!!

Day 17 - an art piece (drawing, sculpture, painting, etc)
While in Chicago, I got to see this painting in person at The Art Institute of Chicago.
American Gothic is a painting by Grant Wood, in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. Wood's inspiration came from a cottage designed in the Gothic Revival style with a distinctive upper window and a decision to paint the house along with "the kind of people I fancied should live in that house." The painting shows a farmer standing beside his spinster daughter (not his wife, as so many parodies and references assume). The figures were modeled by the artist's dentist and sister. The woman is dressed in a colonial print apron mimicking 19th century Americana and the couple are in the traditional roles of men and women, the man's pitchfork symbolizing hard labor, and the flowers over the woman's right shoulder suggesting domesticity.
It is one of the most familiar images in 20th century American art, and one of the most parodied artworks within American popular culture.

24 weeks... Hello Viability!!!
Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. Since he's almost a foot long, he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.
