Reagan is very upset. She cried a lot and even had nightmares last night.

Both kids have appts so the dr can check them out..

This is what happens when you t-bone a 90 year old man who basically ran a stop sing...

I on the other hand had to go to the er last night. After x-rays and lots of drugs, I was was released. I have a mild concussion and whiplash. My back is also bruised..

Thank you to all of my friends who have prayed and also helped us out..

Surrogacy...

Well, I have started the process to be a Gestational Carrier {GC} / Surrogate!!! Dave and I have really talked about it for a year and we feel now is the best time to start this amazing journey! My family are supporting me 100% and that is such a great feeling. I truly love my family!

Yesterday I started researching agencies and put in a few applications. A few hours later, I got a phone call! I was so excited and nervous at the same time. I swear my heart was beating so fast! I called the agency back and I was asked a ton of questions.. I mean a ton! Then we talked about how the process will go and what is expected out of me. I should be receiving my packet of paperwork early next week. I know that this can be a very long process or a quick process. I am praying everything goes well and we get the ball rolling sooner than later!

I am beyond excited about this journey. I feel in my heart, this is the path god has chosen for me. I am ready to give a family the most precious gift ever and fill their arms with love...

I will definitely be keeping updates about this!

Out of Season Photos for Your Holiday Cards!

It is summer, so why not go out and take some photos for your holiday cards?  If someone asked you that, would you think that they had too much sun?  In actuality, it is a great idea.  The kids are home from school, the weather is warm and there is time to reduce your holiday stress, months in advance.  It also offers an opportunity to be creative with your holiday message, such as building sand castles shaped like snowmen. Another summer themed idea for a holiday card is taking a photograph of a message, like “Merry Christmas” written in the sand and sending it out for your Christmas cards. Use your imagination and there will be no limits.

There are several ways you can create great holiday pictures out of season.  If you live in northern areas, that one beautiful snowstorm may not always happen before the holiday season.  It is good idea to be proactive and to take advantage of the season’s natural beauty in February or March and capture next year’s photo for your holiday cards.  Autumn offers beautiful photo backdrops of pine boughs, heavy laden with pine cones, and bright red holly berries in abundance before the birds enjoy eating them.  Dressing in heavy sweaters helps and hats help to portray that wintery feel. If you live in desert areas, spring rewards you with strikingly beautiful scenes that exist only for a few short weeks and are appreciated by friends and relatives in other regions more than another snow scene.

Vacations are the time when everyone takes photos and a there may be many that would be lovely or interesting to include on your holiday photo cards.  Ski trips, scenes from other countries, or famous landmarks, all offer great possibilities. How about the zoo?  Who would not enjoy a Hippo Holidays card?

Here are a few other places you might consider:
  • Recreational and sports – The ice rink or roller skating rink or the kids soccer game or T ball.
  • Camping trips – A marshmallow roast around the glowing campfire at night makes a warming scene for winter that you can capture in the summer.
  • Country scenes – You may be driving and spy that perfect photo opportunity of a mill wheel,  old well,  red barn or just a great sitting fence. Park the car and use it as a prop or backdrop. Maybe you will spot an old carriage and get permission for a family shot.  Keep an open eye and an open mind when you travel about.

Sometimes it may be hard to pick just one opportunity for a photo card. We all know how hard it is to get the family together at once; one child is away at school, or a parent was busy at work. Utilizing a stationery company that offers a variety of layouts for photo Christmas cards ensures you can capture unique images off all family members, despite the scheduling conflicts! A multi-photo holiday card from Tiny Prints has placeholders for group and individual photos to make sure no one is left out!

Whether it’s a horse and buggy or a beach buggy, the perfect spot for your holiday photo cards is always waiting, any time of year.  Get out with the family while you can all be together.  Ask the kids to help. The opportunities are seemingly endless and the results will be unique and appreciated by all.  It is also its one less thing off of your extensive Christmas check list.

Show & Tell Monday: High School Memories!!

Tell us what kind of student you were in high school {popular, nerd, sport obsessed, choir, etc}

I was an okay student. I was more interested in my socialization than actually doing anything else. I hung out with everyone and wasn't in any sort of clique. I graduated 3 months early.

Share with us some high school pictures. We know you have them somewhere.

I cant find any pictures other than my senior pics and a few random ones.. But this is what I looked like in high school...

Tell us about your school. Private? Public? How many in graduating class? Mascots? School colors?

I went to a public school. Our mascot was a Ram and our colors were Blue, Silver and White.

Casa did have a scandal 7 years after I graduated..

The Cheerleading Coach was fired after photos of her from playboy had surfaced.
"What apparently uncovered the coach was when some girls didn't make the cheerleading squad because they had a few unexcused absences from school. Their parents then made copies of  the coach and dropped the pictures on the principal's desk." {source}

{ I think the family was mad that their daughter got cut!!!}

Tell us about some of your favorite memories of high school. Or what stands out the most? Any teachers? Specific classes?

My favorite memories are Friends, Football Games and Parties!! I am still friends with a lot of my classmates! Dances were fun too! Oh and Rallies!!!

Tell us a piece of advice you would pass on to your children or any child entering high school.

Don't be scared to stand out and make friends with everyone.
If you want to play a sport, do it!
Love yourself.
It's okay to make mistakes.
Have fun learning...
Remember who your peers are..
I will always be here to listen and not judge.

Don't forget to link up with Becky!!!

Play Dates!!

♥ Miss. Reagan was officially asked out on a play date from Mr. Kolton ♥

"Kolton has requested a play date with Reagan.
Kolton has suggested tomorrow at the Chicken Park after school."

They are so cute together!!!

They played at the park, chased the chickens and then had fancy cupcakes and chocolate/strawberry milk..
Kolton even opened Reagan's strawberry milk before his own ;)
So romantic!

I am dying with cuteness over here!!
Reagan also taught Kolton how to gargle his chocolate milk to make bubbles...
Meant to be!
