Ear Infections & Tubes...

Well im pretty sure dj is going to get tubes in his ears. We had a check up appt for his ear infection today and now both ears are infected. 2 weeks ago it was only his left ear. he has been on two antibiotics and is now going to start his 3rd, just for this ear infection.

also the ped thinks its his ears that are making it harder for him to talk. she said that he could not be hearing all of the sound. He says some words: mama, dada, ball, sissy, deer, and a few others but they are really hard to understand.

he might have to do a few speech therapy appts.

If he still has the infection by his next check up on 12/18 then the tubes are a must...

anyone familiar with this field?!? im completly lost in this subject. Im gonna start Googling...

Hey Breanna. I am a fellow June 07 BBC mommy and just stumbled upon your blog.

My DS Michael (6-5-07) had tubes put in back in March and they have done wonders for him. He had almost 10 ear infections in less than 6 months so we took him to an ENT. They did a hearing test and because of all the fluid in his ears he wasn't hearing well. After the tube surgery his next hearing test was perfect. Since the tubes were put in he has had 1 infection and a few incidents of fluid in his ears but nothing like it was before. I would definitely get DJ's hearing tested. Feel free to contact me if you want to "chat" more abou this topic.

BTW ... your kids are so adorable!!!
