I HATE Philips with a Passion!!!

Yes, I hate Philips...

Ever since we bought our Philips TV we have had trouble with it.

It all started about 4 months after we bought it. There were blue specks starting to form on the left hand side and bottom of the screen. So we called Philips and they had someone come out and get it. Well they had the TV for about a week and when they brought it back it looked fixed. Not even a week later, the blue came back really really bad and pictures started burning in almost instantly. We couldn't even watch a baseball game for like 20 seconds because the score and everything would be burned into the TV. So we called again and they came out and got it.

After about 3 weeks, we got our TV back. Everything was going great for about 4 months, then everything started happening again. I talked wit Philips and asked them if they can just give us a new TV and they said no, they will just fix it.. Ugh... This went on for about 6 more months.

Everything was good for about a year and just last week it started up again. The top half of the screen started getting red/pixely and then on Thursday the TV totally took a shit and the picture went out. The sound was there but the picture was gone. I called Philips and they said that we need to update our software. Why do we need to do that?? Ive never heard of updating software on a TV before. Anyways we tried it and nothing worked, just like i knew it wouldn't.

I talked with a customer service rep and they said that since our warranty had expired then there is nothing they could do. I told them that this has been an existing problem and they should fix it. After going round and round with the person, I asked to speak with a manager/supervisor and told them that their TVs are a Piece of Sh*t and that all of the reviews on that TV were all BAD. They said sorry and then hung up on me! I couldn't believe that, so I called back and bitched them out some more.

Come to find out that our TV has been discontinued.. Go figure...

If your thinking of buying a Philips T.V. PLEASE DON'T!!!! They are very poorly made and will crash on you within 3 years.
