One Year Ago Today...

The US Airways flight 1549 lost both engines and landed safely in the Hudson River. All 155 on board were pulled to safety and miraculously only one passenger suffered 2 broken legs and a handfull of other passengers just had bruises and minor injuries. The plane struck a flock of birds during takeoff. 2 Minutes later they had no engines.

I can not believe that it has already been a year since this happened. I watched the documentary on it called Brace For Impact last night and was amazed at how calm Captain Chesley Sullenberger was when they were playing back the audio from that day.

I am so glad that everyone was and is safe at home with their loved ones.
